This month was infinitely better than the past few months in the sense that I was not physically ill aside from allergies. I had like a pretty minor flareup of my chronic illness but aside from that it wasn't awful. That being said, I didn't accomplish quite what I had planned because I used April as a time to just rest and adjust, even though I really wanted to hit the month wide open with content and other things. You'll notice we also didn't do Chatterbox at all this month which was kind of a weird thing for me to do. Hey y'all let's see what's up today! Sunday I had a personally rare experience. A local historic theatre hosted Butch Patrick who played Eddie Munster, and they also had the Dragula and a showing of the Munsters movie. My area does not get a lot of horror themed events especially outside of Halloween season, so getting to go to this was really fun and I got to go with my dad as well which made it even more memorable. That being said, let's talk about it! The Venue This meet up was hosted in the historic Bonnie Kate Theatre. The theatre itself is 100 years old and has been reopened to the public after a brief closure in 2016. Hey y'all let's see what's up today! Today I'm going to be reviewing and discussing Noferatu, specifically the 1922 version. This film is available on Shudder, and it's honestly one of my favorites. Please keep in mind, this film is over 100 years old, there was a lot of restoration done to the film and some of it had to be clipped together from various remaining pieces in order for it to be shown in the modern era. Some of these are free, some of these aren't, but all of them are resources that I have personally tested and can voucher for. I used this a lot back when I was planning on paper, they have a decent mix of free and paid resources for you to access. Hey y'all! Sorry for the radio silence over here this week. A large part of why I wanted to start this blog in the first place was to create content that people with Chronic Illnesses could relate to as a chronically ill girlie myself. I try to do the very best that I can to keep working and keep pushing through flare ups among everything else, but sometimes you just... can't and that's been kind of my situation this week. Hey y'all let's see what's up today! This month I have set quite the challenge for myself: Reading 7 books. Yes, you read that correctly, seven. I allowed my book club to vote on the lineup of 5 quick reads, and then I have 2 longer books that I am hoping to finish between each of these 5. Even if I don't finish all 7 I'm not going to be disappointed, but I would be ecstatic if I were able to finish them all. The first in this lineup from book club is this quick read from Robert Louis Stevenson. These are my go to's when it comes to writing everything from these blog posts to my novel. As always I am not paid to promote any software or product, these are simply things that I have had success with via some good old trial and error.
